[SOLVED] Best lga 1150 cpu for around £100?

I've decided to upgrade my PC recently. Does anyone know what the best lga 1150 cpu I could get for around £100 is, or if I should invest in getting a new motherboard to support a better and cheaper cpu?

It's hard to recommend any PC upgrade without knowing anything about your PC.

The 4790K is the best on the platform but as a result still tend to have a high resale value. The 4770K is a very close second but is generally cheaper and I have seen them for around $100

At the moment I have an i5 4460, 16 GB ddr4 ram and a gtx 1060. I cant remember the rest of my specs right now as I'm away from home.

Personally unless you can get the chip for super cheap wouldn't spend that kind of money on such an old chip. I don't know why resale is so high on old chips but it is. Also to my knowledge the 4460 is a DDR3 chip not DDR4.

Anyway its up to you to weigh the cost benefits of either spending money on an older chip or saving up for a new Mobo, RAM an CPU.
