Best LGA 775 4x DDR2 motherboard?

Please anyone can tell me what motherboard is the best for 4x 2GB ram DDR2 LGA 775?
I wan't to replace my old DP965LT but i wouldn't like to get rid of my ram mems 🙁

man, slim pickings on at deal that pretty dated now and you may find som leftovers ? most likely boards that were not poplar to start with or near office use type ??

pc parts picker shows 4 available and at some tough prices -- 5 at newegg ?? time to move on

with that cant be too hard of choice

also may be best to keep your old memory seeing how newer memory modules may not be compatible with that older chipset

Well, my desktop motherboard is still Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R rev. 2.0 (+ Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 cpu and 8 gb ddr2 memory)...

Once I had a problem with its cpu socket pins but it was successfully repaired.
I am quite happy with this board. Only thing I miss is newer sata ports (sata 3.x).

Asus P5Q Pro Turbo. It will also give you some room for OC'ing. With P45 Express Chipset and support to 4x DIMM DDR2 1000+

I'm choosing this mobo to replace my old G31 mobo and planning for OC'ing RAM and CPU.
I'll order one of this from local online shop and I'll tell you how great this mobo!!!

And forget SATA 3 unless you're using SSD.
The traditional HDD speed depends on it's rotational speed, and how much cache on it. The theortical speed of SATA 3 is 6.0Gbps, but the facts it never exeeds 1Gbps unless you put your SSD on it.

Unless you are masochist you should always use SSDs as your boot drive.
As for SATA 2 vs SATA 3...
My desktop has SATA 2 + Sandisk Extreme SSD and
My laptop has SATA 3 + Sandisk Extreme SSD.
The diffrence of boot times is incredible. With SATA 3 it's almost instantaneous.
Does it differ with data drives, copying files and all? You bet it does!

If SSD coupled with SATA3 yes i agree with you, indeed.

But here i'm assuming the OP are using traditional HDD.
