I have a MSI Z370 A-PRO motherboard and I'm hoping someone can help me with what the best (meaning compatibility) NVMe M.2 with support, up to 32 Gb/s using PCI-Express Gen3 x4 I should buy to use as my boot drive. I'm looking for at most a MLC, with between 500Gb and 1000Gb. I would like to stay away from TLC/QLC. I'm not sure if can afford a SLC with 500-1000Gb. If there is a brand that is better to get others that would be helpful as well. I was thinking of WD Black but I'm not married to that decision. Thanks for any help and if I've left out any crucial info please let me know and I'll add it.

Solution
The Difference between the Evo's and the Pro is Write speeds. Reads are unaffected.
The Evo's are generally faster for all but large writes, after their buffer fills they slow to native speed. ~600MB/s for the 512GB
The pro can write at full speed across nearly the entire drive space. This is why video editors love these drives.
