Hi, which of these 3 motherboards is best for overclocking the intel Core i5 4690K? If you have any better suggestions, the form factor has to be Micro ATX. Thanks

MSI Z97M-G43

ASRock Z97M Pro4

Asus Z97M-PLUS

P.S - The CPU is going to be water cooled by the Cooler Master Nepton 240M incase you need to know.

Micro ATX boards don't have very good power phase, mostly because they have limited room for the hardware. If you want to overclock you should be getting a full size ATX board. Pretty sure all those have 4+1 power phase so it won't really matter. Good for a small overclock but that's all.

H97 boards don't support overclocking 'K' CPU's. You need the Z97 for that. They are also limited to DDR3 1600 memory.

I ran 4.6Ghz 24/7 at 1.274V on a mATX ASRock Z97M Formula OC (and got to 4.8Ghz at higher voltages over 1.300 which is more than I like), which was $100 on sale. The CPU is now in an ASRock Z97M Pro 4 and we have yet to get over 4.4Ghz at the same voltages (but have not given up and the memory is different)
