Hey!

So currently choosing between Ripjaws V 64GB DDR4 3200MHZ DIMM F4-3200C16D-64GVK(2x32 GB) and G.SKILL Trident Z Black 64GB 3200MHz CL16 KIT OF 4 F4-3200C16Q-64GTZKW(4x16 GB).

I know that they will perform the same overall because there is no big difference between these 2 models, but which one would be better for overclocking? Or it doesn't matter?

Generally speaking it's best to have a kit (2x32) than (4x16). Apart from that there is no difference performance wise.

Both of those kits are OC RAM at CL16 so it will depend on the strength of the IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) on the chip as to whether you can achieve the RAMs rated frequency. Check you processors supported frequency.

64GB at 3200MHz is a lot to ask of some IMCs so choose carefully. Ryzen 9 3900X supports up to 3200MH so you should be OK.

Thank you!

I wanna get Ripjaws V and overclock it to ~ 3600 Mhz.

Or it just better to get 3600 Mhz?

There is no guarantee you can achieve the RAMs rated frequency let alone Overclocking further to 3600MHz.
Your prerogative to try ofc however, you will need higher DRAM voltage and with that comes heat.
If you get 3200MHz then stick with that for stability.
I have found Gskill with Samsung B-Die chips at 3200MHz to be the sweet spot for Ryzen

Well, might be, but I'm currently with 32 GB RAM and it's low for me.

Haven't found 2x32GB RAM on Samsung B-Die chip. Still, the +5% of performance is not for what you should overpay :)
