best memory type for dell inspiron 620?

I know the most memory my dell can use is 8gb. I looked in the case and it said something like 10600 on the side of the ram.

Could I use pc3-12800 ram as well? assuming its 2x 4gb sticks

So that's the only ram I'd purchase
