Best Method to Copy Desktop HDD to Laptop HDD

Hi All,

I know there are different methods out there to achieve this, just looking for a suggestion for what I should buy. I just got a new laptop, it's got a 1TB 5400rpm HDD and a 500GB m.2 SSD. I've got a desktop I'm selling, it's got a 1TB 7200rpm HDD and a 256GB 2.5" SSD. I want to copy the desktop's SSD to the laptop's SSD, and do the same with the HDDs.

What are my options? What's the best option?

Thanks for the response, but my laptop can't fit a 3.5" desktop HDD in it to clone using that method!
