I decided to transition to a new thread from my previous one since I've narrowed down the issue, and I now have a new query.

My initial problem was that I was getting absurdly low framerates in intensive games with a great CPU (FX 8350) and GPU (GTX 770). After googling pages of people asking about whether putting a FX 8350 and my GIGABYTE motherboard together was a good idea, some answerers said it was possible but that my mobo was too low-end and that the CPU might be bottlenecked by it. Many suggested that the asker invest in a higher end 970 series mobo instead.

My current motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX .

So I think the CPU is being limited by my mobo, BUT I don't know how to tell which motherboards will limit my CPU. I would like recommendations on micro ATX motherboards that can bring out the maximum potential of my FX 8350 (overclocking ability is a plus, but not required). I would rather not replace my entire micro ATX case to make room for an ATX mobo but if that is the case then please make recommendations for these things too. My budget is around $200-$250. Maybe $300 if I don't have any other options.

I added a cpu cooler if you haven't already got one.
