I am working on a PC build and am trying to figure out the best mid-tower case to fit 3 GPUS. I'm trying to go as silent as possible, so I'm hoping to use 1080 Ti Hybrids for the 3 GPUS and have a liquid CPU cooler, so space for the radiators is definitely a plus.

I've tried the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv and currently have everything housed in a Fractal Define R5. both cases are great and were pretty much perfect, except that I couldn't utilize the bottom PCIe slot of the motherboard to fit the third GPU (there wasn't enough vertical space between the bottom slot and the Power Supply) . I'm using a GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5 ATX motherboard.

I'd been told that the NZXT H440 would be able to fit 3 GPUs on an ATX board, but as I've already bought two cases unsuccessfully, I figured I'd make a post and see if anyone had suggestions.

Any suggestions & help would be thoroughly appreciated. I also wanted to mention that if this build seems impossible on a mid-tower, any suggestions for a more compact full tower would also be very helpful. Thanks so much

Because the cases you stated are mid tower cases, and at most will support 2 GPUs, espeically big ones like the 1080 Tis. To get a third, you will need a bigger case, which is where Full Tower...
Thanks so much for your quick response. I'm an animator using this machine to do GPU rendering for 3D animation with Octane Render & Redshift, so the 3 1080 Ti's are for that. Thanks for the case recommendation, I will check out the Phantom!

Is there a specific reason you would shy away from a case like the H440 for this build? (I've been able to fit everything quite adequately into the DefineR5 except the final GPU, so that's why I was curious, I am very much a novice so I just thought I'd ask in case there was something I was missing)
