Hello,

I am thinking about getting a mini pc for my grandparents, they have a pc at the moment but its incredibly slow. I was thinking about getting the Asus vivopc (with windows 8 installed).
The only problem with it is that the power button is very small and hidden.

So do you guys have any other, better, options in the price range of 150-350 dollars?

Actually you just need to adjust your 'understanding' of what computers are and how they are built. At the 3 to 1 sold rate, commonly people only buy laptops, and they can be had in that price range (but neither new desktop nor laptop will ever 'speed up' if your using low end cheap Internet FYI, that is resolved with a proper service package to meet the demand).

If your insistive on a desktop model (many Grandparents LOVE laptops when you show how you can walk around in the kitchen -grandma gets to watch cooking channel- to outside -grandpa watches HomeDepot video on proper mulching the garden- etc.) then the common 'shift' is to All-In-One like this...

Honestly buying a computer for anyone depends what they intend it for. Just 'surfing web' and watching Netflix, well any cheapo computer even the new tablets can accommodate (think of getting them a Amazon Fire? Lots of potential there and wonderful selection if they 'read alot'). Dont' try boxing yourself in with a 'minipc' as the only solution.
