I have a friend who wants a good stable system for running a bit of graphics programs, etc... What is a good motherboard (it doesnt need Raid, overclockable features like Softmenu III, etc..)

Thanks for your help

when building this system for my friend, I can guarantee she won't be pushing much.... she wants it to be able to do a lot, but the idea that she actually will is doubtful, is there a "better priced" mobo that performs pretty close to the same, if a little lower? for around 60-80?

thanks

I don't know... The term "better" doesn't really apply to anything in the $60 - $80 range as far as stability and baseline performance goes. Spend the extra money and get a good, stable and fast motherboard. In the big $1,000.00 picture the extra $50 bucks will be money VERY well spent.
