Best Mobo for 90nm Athlon 3500+

I've been looking at two specific mobos for my new gaming rig, they are:
- Asus A8V Deluxe.
- Abit AV8.

Overclocking capabilities will be considered, but I'm not a hardcore overclocker. Both obtain nearly the same results in benchmarks as far as performance goes.

I'll be using an Athlon 64 3500+ (2.2Ghz 90nm-based Winchester Core) along with a 6800 GT and 1GB OCZ Rev. 2 PC-3200 Dual Channel Memory.

Both mobos are also known to have issues with the 90nm CPUs and need updated Bios' in order to work properly.

The point is - Which one of them should I try my luck on? Both seem to overclock well and have the same performance. Thanks in advance.

I've heard that most of the 90nm chips can do 2.6Ghz with stock cooling and voltage

Actually I wouldn't get either of them, I would get either the MSI Neo Platinum 2 or the Gigabyte high-end motherboard. Scottchen seems to like the Gigabyte but the MSI is really the Mobo of choice... anywhere. The MSI got anandtech's editor's choice, and you can see its overclocking ability with a 90nm chip here:

Yes your right MSI K8N NEO 2 is my first choice (obviously) and the gigabyte is second. Although id you wait two weeks or so I'd get a ASUS A8V Premium (nForce 4 and PCI express black pcb really nice looking)

I need advice what cooling should i get for a winchester 3500 (90nm), I just got the MSI K8N NEO2 Platinum for a mate to is it a good combination?

i have a k8n neo2 plat and its awesome, the design is pretty awkward but its very fast and runs stabile the entire time. i have a 130nm 3500+ and its fine, no high temps here using the stock solution. cant go wrong with a full copper hsf tho.

Its been decided. I'm going for a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. Has anyone successfully installed an eVGA (Or any other brand) 6800 GT on this mobo? I heard theres a transistor near the AGP slot which prevents some video cards from being installed...
