Best mobo for system

Im building a new rig for gaming consists of
Amd Phenom II x6
8 gb 1333 DDR3
Radeon HD6850 1GB


what do you think the best chipset is for this system

The Asrock 870 Extreme 3 is always a great price for the features it has. Just stick with an 800 series chipset for USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0 GB/s... and make sure it has 8x/8x or 16x/16x PCIe if you plan on adding another HD6850 in the future.

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

If you want the best chipset and want overclock, pass over that 870 chipset and your only option is 890FX chipset.

Now, regarding the rest of components...why do you need 8GB? and Why 1333MHZ?

just happens to be the memory I found that fit my budget for mem. Ill be running win 7 home and like I said its for gaming so I figured more mem better but I am open to different speeds, will the faster mem cover if I go with less
