Best monitor for 1060 6gb

I've recently bought a new PC, and I want to substitute my old Samsung 205BW with something better.
Right now I'm not really sure what qualities I want it to have, because I've never seen either 1440 or 144hz monitors, so I don't know what difference it might bring and which one is better for me.
Mostly I like to play HotS, Batman Arkham Series and other different types of games. I don't play games professionally, just for fun. So first I thought to buy a 144hz VA monitor, but now I think maybe I'd better spend my money on 1440p and 60hz? I don't really want a TN panel, but I can consider it. My budget is something around 300-400 dollars.
For now I am thinking about 1440p 16:9 IPS 60-100hz.
The problem is I don't really know which monitors are good and which are not. Can somebody experienced help me with that?

Right now I consider buying Dell P2418D.

The 1060 will struggle a little with 1440p, you may need to lower some graphics settings. Though, it is the 1080p king.

Well, I've bought Dell P2418D. The performance is slightly worse, but I don't really see the difference and the graphics is so awesome that I regret nothing, even if I have to lower some settings a little bit.
