Am only going to use a single monitor mainly for gaming. I currently have this one: http://www.cnet.com/products/lg-l192ws-bn-lcd-monitor-19/specs/

Solution
60Hz can only display 60FPS while 144hz can display up to 144FPS. Same with 120Hz (120 FPS). Basically, the pictures will be displayed much quicker and your experience in games would be greatly improved. If you don't want a 120hz-144hz monitor, that's fine :p you could go for a 1440p, I'l check for a good one :)
