[SOLVED] Best Monitor for Gaming 1080p 240hz monitor vs 2k 144hz ?

Hey All,

i've posted previous post about selecting new monitor after my 1080 144hz monitor died and i'm looking for a new one now

im getting really confused actually i don't know what is the ideal option

upgrade to 2k 144hz since i have rtx 2080 who can handle 2k monitor ips or va panel

or getting 240hz esport monitor like the benq xl2740 with gsync support

i mainly play fps games like r6s and apex legends cod bf

i want a good colors with good response time and minimum input lag so what is the ideal solution

I just upgraded to 1440p 27” 144Hz IPS with a 2070 Super. Will never go back to 1080p TN

This is a personal choice with no right or wrong. All I can say is only the very best gamers can notice 240Hz over 144Hz. Personally I'd go 1440p 144Hz, its what I use myself and I enjoy fps but I'm no competition winner.

I guess you will notice much more difference between 1080p and 1440p than 144hz and 240hz.
I'd go with 1440p 144hz, especially if the monitor's not just for gaming.
