Best monitor for me?

Hello, I currently have a 1440x900 monitor and I'm using it to record gameplays and edit videos, but since it's a 16:10 monitor, you get the blacks bars or low quality when trying to record games, so the only way for me is to buy a new 16:9 monitor.

I wanted to ask, what's the best monitor resolution to record games in 720p and maybe 1080p too, but mainly 720p? I'm not asking for a monitor brand, just a good resolution to record in HD with no issues, thanks!

720p is 1280 x 720
1080p is 1920 x 1080

the first is likely hard to be found or purchased now a days... but a 1080p monitor/video card will do 720p
