Best monitor for x-rays

Looking for a high resolution 17" wide format lcd or led monitor, with high color and gray scale accuracy for veiwing x-rays. Any new options?

You need to look at medical displays which will cost you a pretty penny. I don't think I would fool around with consumer level displays for this type of specialty (i.e. X-Rays).

I recommend contacting Planar.com to determine which monitor is best suited for the task. Below link list some of their products and high price tag:

Use of non-medically approved displays to render a diagnosis will probably result in negligence and malpractice under a court of law if a lawsuit should arise and your medical equipment is examined. This is my assumption, you should probably consult with someone in the medical field about the legality of using consumer level products in such a situation.
