Best monitor to pair up with GTX 1080?

I recently bought GTX 1080 and I thought maybe I should upgrade my monitor to take advantage of its power. I currently have BenQ GL2450 (1980x1080 60 Hz TN) and LG Flatron W2241S (1680x1050 60 Hz TN). Though, I am not able to use the LG one because GTX 1080 doesn't have a DVI-I/VGA port.

I will probably move the BenQ as my secondary monitor and get a new primary. I like to play games like League of Legends, Overwatch and Hearthstone. I play AAA titles sometimes but quite rarely. I was thinking maybe 1440p monitor with high refresh rate? I am not sure G-Sync would be worth it since I would expect to have very high framerate in the games I like to play. I don't know about getting an IPS panel, is it really that much better? What do you think would be a good choice?

My budget is quite flexible but if it is something like $500 range I would be able to buy it right away. Otherwise, I would probably save up for a month or a two.

Personally comes down to personal taste really. But did some reading, I would choose the Acer XB271HU.
