I'm pretty stuck on which monitor to get, as any bad review makes me hesitate (I'm just nervous as this will be my first build and I don't want anything to go wrong).
The CPU I plan on to pair the 2060 w/ is the R5 2600 and I'll have 2x8 gb of ram.
Which monitor will go best w/ this pair? And 144hz will go well with this pair, I assume? Thank you !

It depends on the games you will play the most. For competitive, 1080p@144hz will be amazing. If you want to watch movies and play games that are more on the atmospheric side, then 2k@144hz will be fine.

Yeah, 144hz is fine honestly, I'd recommend a GSYNC 144HZ monitor if you're into gaming and need every bit of competitive advantage. Don't go for 240hz unless you don't play demanding games, a 2060 won't be able to produce 240 frames on the AAA title's.
I'd recommend asus monitors.

RTX 2060 is capable 2K60fps @ ULTRA so buy a monitor which is more suited to your needs.
1080P 144Hz - Best for competitive games. Ideal gaming choice for this GPU
2K 144 Hz/60 Hz - GPU can't handle 144fps @ Ultra needs sacrificing quality, 60 Hz is better but bad for competitive games and more of a sweet spot for casual gamer's with this GPU.
4K 60Hz - Best for productivity and text/graphic related workload. GPU not suited for 4K gaming.
