Best Monitor Under £300?

Hello, I am looking to buy a new monitor, mainly for gaming. I don't know much about monitors at all. I have been looking at some ultra wide ones, 4k ones and curved ones but I don't know which is actually worth it. I have also briefly looked into 144hz monitors but I have no clue what that actually means or whether it is actually worth the extra money.

Any help is really appreciated.

If you'll be mostly playing FPS games, then I recommand a 144Hz one, otherwise just go for 60hz IPS one.

144 Hz = your monitor can display up to 144 fps per second. 144 frames per second will be ultra-smooth but you'll need a powerful graphics card to use it in games. If your games can't run at higher than 60 fps at either 1440p or even 1080p, there won't be point in one.

Get either an ultra-wide monitor or a 144 hz monitor. The other options cost either way too much for your budget or you would have to end up upgrading your PC.
