Best motherboard and CPU to go with Radeon R9 290x

Looking to upgrade my sons computer for gaming and he already has the R9 290x so I’m not wanting to replace this, just the Motherboard and CPU. Only wanted to spend £200 and would be grateful for advice on the best motherboard and CPU for the price.

What's the cpu and motherboard currently being used, as you may be able to work with that - upgrading the cpu may be all that's necessary.

Get an 8320, 8350, or 8370.
^Although cheaper than the next option, it's not really recommended due to how dated the FX series is, and just about anything newer stomps it 6ft under...

You will need to get with the vendor to make sure they give you an up-to-date motherboard, or the 2200g won't post/boot.

^Just threw this one in here for the heck of it. Slightly faster(intel cpus aren't as dependent on ram speed as ryzen), but negligible performance difference between the 2200g, and costs a little more.
