With your CPU I'd look at the Asus Z97-A, great mobo, have 10 builds on it andall the clients love it, a step up is their Z97 Pro Gamer then on up is the Hero, that's what I built on (in sig)
Hmm, i dont know ive had bad experiences with ASRock boards
I don't know what model you bought or if it was second hand or others but i've personally have first and second hand experience with Asrock boards and it doesn't get more solid than this. Asus, gigabyte, msi they all provide great boards and so does Asrock.

As you can see in my signature with a Z87 Asrock i was able to get an overclock of 4.7Ghz on my 4690K so with the Z97 chip set it will definitely get there with proper cooling.
Hello, i am looking for a motherboard, for preferably under $200 dollars, that is the best for an i5 4690k?
A highly recommend the Asrock Z97 Anniversary ATX Motherboard with great overclocking abilities.

Ummm...that is one of the worst boards that you can pair with an i5. These boards are meant to OC the unlocked pentiums but for an i5 you really want something with a little more muscle. https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97xud3hbk
This is what I'd recommend.

Alright, i have about 250 now, would you still recommend this MB for overclocking?
The I5 4690K is unlocked which means you'll probably want to overclock it else it's not worth buying the "K" version. For this you should go with a strong motherboard that will allow you to do some good overclocking and boost your performance to the extreme.
Read this article as it'll help you picking a great motherboard for you, however I personally suggest you to get the Z97. http://bit.ly/I5_4690K
