best motherboard for amd fx 9590

going to upgrade my graphics for gtx 980 i currently have gigabyte 990fxa ud5 motherboard so for gtx 980 and fx 9590 will 990fxa ud5 is good or should i look for asus crosshair v formula z

What is your current CPU? An FX 9590 is a waste of money.

Don't even bother with that CPU. Get an 8350. You will have the same performance without all the heat and power issues. The 9590 is not a good CPU or a good decision at all.
