Would probably be one of the upcoming intel bearlake mobos with PCI-E 2.0. However them being able to support crossfire like the current gen intel mobos I'm not sure has been confirmed.

Although current PCI-E bandwidth is probably nowhere near close to being a bottleneck.

3 x (2+1 Configuration: 2 Graphics + 1 Physics)
- 2 ATI CrossFire graphics cards (each operates at x8 bandwidth). Thanks anyways though.

well if your waiting for the x2900 might as well wait till the 2nd of never for rd790 that should work nicely. i like DAAMIT too but i am really starting to accept the idea they have nothing untill the end of the year.
sure they might release before then, but it will probly take till then to work out the bugs and actually get your hands on this stuff.

well i dont really mean that, but it's hard to avoid pessimism when release dates have been continuously pushed back. and speculation endless speculation  it may take untill may to get your answer, as of right now if the board you seek exists in retail form i have yet to see it.

well one of the pcie16 will operate at 8x which is the equivalent as agp.

sorry mate, but at 8X it is still twice the available bandwidth of an 8x AGP.

its only the 4x pci-e slots that are the same as a 8X AGP slot...bandwidth wise.

 Sorry got confused with the AMD variant of that chipset which stays at dual x16. Don't know why they added that physics slot to choke things up.

The best bet looks like the Intel X38 chipset, due in Q3. It might still beat the X2900 out.

lol it wont beat the x2900 out b/c it is coming out in may...but yeah i guess that is my only option, thanks for the help.
And it was coming out in February and last September. I'll believe it when I see it... (And I want to see it, I would like an X2900 in my new build myself).

Just a little frustrated with ATI and joking about the R600 (X2900) being delayed again. Trust me, I hope it comes out in May - heck, I hope the Inquirer is right and it will come out April 22 - I just don't want to get my hopes up again.
