Best Motherboard for Crossfire

I need a motherboard that will give Dual RX 480's the most potential . IM running an I5 LGA 1151 and water cooler. I dont care if i can OC the CPU or not. Under $120. Thanks

Its definitely not a gimmick, but with that board it doesn't matter you can't overclock. It can increase performance somewhat, but no its not enormous gains like some would have you believe. But 10-15% is nothing to turn your nose up at.

Yes there are cheaper boards that will do Crossfire, but they are x16/x4 which is, as discussed, a waste of money.


Look closely x16/x4 vs x8/x8 is a pretty poor result averaging over 10%, not even worth it to go crossfire. Also that test is older, GPUs now push a lot more and has been shown to affect performance more.

If he doesn't get x8/x8 IMO its not worth the money.
