So the i7 6700k does say its for 1551 motherboards, but what do these numbers mean? what's the difference? so this does'nt work with 1555 or 1550?

Anyway, what's the best best best motherboard for this cpu?

Solution
Those numbers represent the socket the cpu occupies. It can't work in other sockets. Best board for the 6700k is a hard question, there are simply too many motherboards on the market right now. Any mid range Z170 board should be sufficient.

Gingerbread is correct.
LGA 1151 is the socket. It is the number of pins that connect the processor and motherboard. So a LGA 1151 won't work in a LGA 1150. It supports Skylake (e.g. i7-6700k) and the next gen. Kaby Lake processors.
