So I want to go with Ryzen 5 3600 and the question is which MB to buy? First thing that I need to know is what chipset B450, X470 or X570. I need a decent VRM performance because I will overclock, and I don't really wanna go above 170ish $.
Or even go with a B450. 3600's are not power hungry by any means so you can overclock one with no issues even on low-end B350 boards. 2nd gen. AM4 boards (at least) are recommended though, mainly because they were generally improved over 1st gen (X370/B350) for memory compatibility and overclocking. So I want to go with Ryzen 5 3600 and the question is which MB to buy? Do you know any b450 or x470 board with good VRM?Or even go with a B450. 3600's are not power hungry by any means so you can overclock one with no issues even on low-end B350 boards. 2nd gen. For either X470 or B450 be sure to look for 'Ryzen 3000 Ready' so you know the BIOS has been updated. But do temper your overclocking expectations for all Ry3k processors unless your plans include sub-ambient cooling with LN2. In which case top-tier X470 and X570 boards are going to be the only choices worth considering for their feature sets (dual switched BIOS, POST code displays, board mounted controls, etc.) and extreme over-kill VRM designs.
For a 3600(X) really most any B450 or X470 because it isn't a power-hungry beast.Do you know any b450 or x470 board with good VRM?
