Current specs - (Still need to buy motherboard, PSU & case)

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Noctua NH-AM4 chromax.Black CPU Cooler
RTX 3060 GIGABYTE Gaming OC 12GB(REV 2.0)
OLOy RAM DDR4 (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16
WD_Black 1TB SN750 NVME SSD
WD_Black 2TB HDD 7200RPM
GIM PSU Cable Extension Kit (White)

Just looking for the best motherboard options for the Ryzen 5600X… I had a motherboard but just found out that it doesn’t support the 5600X so it just needs to be fully compatible out of the box please - Thank you!!

Budget isn’t really an issue, but not looking to spend an insane amount so I’ll cap the budget to $350 after tax, shipping, etc.

I would suggest a Msi tomahawk b550 max, a nice all rounder budget board. But if you can spend more then there are options like asus rog strix x570-E, Msi Mpg b550 gaming edge wifi

Yeah I was looking at that Asus rog strix x570-E… It definitely supports the 5600X right off the bat right? I just don’t want to have to do anything special when I get it in order for it to work ya know ?

The MSI Tomahawk B550 Max is a good quality all rounder with strong VRM's. A good alternative is :

That also has good power delivery. The Asus ROG Strix X570-E is a very nice board, it certainly supports the 5600X, but it is a bit over the top. The benefit of X570 is it has PCI-E 4 everywhere so you can have multiple PCI-E 4 NVME drives, I just would have paired such an expensive board with a Ryzen 7 or 9. Entirely up to you though.

General knowledge says we might need to update the bios for the 5000 series, in my case I have gigabyte x570 ud running a 3600, I will be required to update my bios if I were to upgrade to 5600x, mainly because my board came before the 5000 series got released, so you can just ask your vendor to update it for you if needed, updating my x570 is easy because it has a bios usb port where I can update without mounting the cpu and booting it.
