I am a teenager who mows lawns for money and sometimes works on construction sites. What is the best pair of non-powered headphones that sound good and can drown out a lawn mower that is left than 2ft away? Right now I use a passive noise reduction pair of earcups and a skullcandy ink'd in-ear headphones. I want the headphones to beat my normal setup.

Just to clarify, the "construction sites" I work at are typically minor jobs such as house decks or interior work. My primary goal in a job is general IT work.

OK, first if you're in a construction site. You MUST be aware at all times, music is nice and all but not when being alive depends on being aware of what's happening around you. Lawn mowing...megh!

Now, I worked a lot in a manufacturing warehouse and the noise was intense. I didn't work on the shop per se, but on the offices next to them. Anyway, I use a pair of Shure SE-425 headphones with Comply P-100 eartips. It reduces the noise immensely and I get to hear music with amazing quality.
