I have my build completely picked out, down to just the cpu cooler, coming from a i5-6600k and im upgrading my rig to a i5-9600k. I want a Noctua cooler but they have a ton of options. I am not sure which of the coolers is the newest, and what is the best for this cpu/case since I worry about ram clearance the case is Phanteks - Eclipse P350X. Would the
Noctua - NH-U12S Be a good cooler or does noctua sell a better cooler?

Solution
Oh, Noctua has better coolers than the U12S for sure.
The Phanteks p350x will fit coolers upto 160mm. Noctua best is the NH-D15, but that's 165mm with fans. The NH-D15S is the same, but only 160mm due to minor design changes, but if you add a second fan, one to the front, that changes to 165mm or more to clear ram.
The NH-U12S is 158mm tall with fan, so is almost the same height for less ability. You could also swap it up and go downdraft style instead of tower with a NH-C14S, add a second fan and still only be 142mm tall.

Noctua hasn't put out much of anything recently, they haven't had to, even the ancient NH-D14 is still a seriously good cooler and better than many on the market today, and it's a 10 year old design.
