Since we now have 10 full years of Comps under all our collective
belts I thought it would be nice to have new vote for the Best of The Comps

Best 1st Place
Best 2nd Place
Best 3rd Place
Best Overall (2nd and 3rd place winners are eligible for this)

I'm not quite sure how to set this up on a web page since I've never done
any HTML
and don't have a page of my own.
Maybe Stephen or Andrew or someone else who already has a webiste could set
up
a quick voting section on their page in order to accomplish this.

Entries would be accepted from lets say Jan 1- 30th and the the results
posted on rgif.

BTW since there were 2 language categories in the original '95 comp there
are 11 entries
in each cateogry of 1st-3rd places.

The games are listed below

Interesting. I'm not going to vote, but predict:

Best 1st: Photopia or Slouching

Best 2nd: Babel

Best 3rd: All Things Devours

Best Overall: (It would have to be one of the above, wouldn't it?)

Note (observantly) that I haven't even played half of these games. But
I doubt most voters will have, either, so there should be a lot of bias
in favor of recent or well-known games.

I think I'd be more interested in a vote on the bottom-tenth games
from all the comps. I'm thinking the winner of that would be
Undertow. Ninja would be top-half, I think.

I've played almost all of the firsts but not so many of the 2nds and
thirds.

Babel

> 3rd Place
Scavenger

I noticed that several of my favorites like The Plant and Glowgrass
also came in third, I'd probably pick them over any of the firsts.

Overall, I'd say Scavenger, edging out Babel by the narrowist of
margins.

Overall: Bedlam. Man, that one was impressive!

For those interested, I've made a note of the current ranking of each
game at http://www.carouselchain.com/if/ which is probably as good a
proxy for this kind of vote as we can get.
