Hello,

I want to build a computer just for browsing and office for a friend. He does not game at all. So I was thinking of these mean components:
CPU: Intel 10100
MB: Asrock B460 Pro4/AC
RAM: Vengeance LPX 3200 (2 X 8) --> I choose these because there is a good deal at 50$.
SSD: Adata xpg 8200 pro (1 TB)
PSU: Be quiet Pure power 11 300w

What do you think? To say that I live in Europe so the prices are not the same than in USA.
I choose Adata because the price is just a bit higher that the entry level ssds....

Br,
Javier.

I don't know what the landscape is on the used/refurbished office PC units from Dell/HP etc. but here you can typically buy a SFF Dell Optiplex with a 4th gen i5 for around $100 with Windows license. Add the cost of an SSD and these are super good machines for that use case.

Yes, eBay is a good place to look. I also have used sites like Newegg, but they are generally a tad more pricy there.
Check Optiplex 3020/7020/9020 SFF (as a for instance)

I have checked and the prices are not 100$ (at least in europe). And also, my friend would like something very small.
I have selected:
asrock deskmini h470 -> 170$
intel 10100 -> 110$
nvme 1to -> 110$
16 Gb ram -> 70$

What it gives approx 500$ for a modern PC. The old PC I have seen on ebay are like 300$ with very old parts (ssd, hard disk, memory, etc). I live in France so... maybe the market for old parts is not great.
