Best Old GPU for 250W PSU

Yes I know 250W PSU is literal the worst you can have in a computer and very very low but I just got the system for free and it isnt going to be a power rig. It will just sit in my garage to browse the internet, look up parts, get diagrams, etc..

The computer runs pretty decent for what it is.. I am upgrading the HDD to an SSD this week for some extra pep as well.

I want to know what would be the best, cheapest, lowest watt GPU to use in this? I kind of want to be able to run World of Warcraft on it, Lowest settings, 720p if need be.

250watts seems to low. The cpu it self consumes 95watts so you dont have much left.
I would recommend changing the power supply.
The lowest power hungry gpu i can think is probably a Geforce 710 19 watts (Geforce 1030 uses 30watts but its a lot better).

I'd actually get a Gt 1030, 30 watts from the slot, not a big deal even on such a low power PSU. The problem I have with the PSU isn't the power, it's the age. even a 15 dollar special would be a step up.

Also, sometimes the motherboard's PCIe slot is power limited, which is where the GT 1030 is still a nice option.

Though a $15 logisys probably wouldn't be a step up.

I'd recommend against the GT 1030 as newer Nvidia GPU's beyond the 7xx series often have problems with old HP and Dell systems due to the BIOS.

The GT 710 should do the job for you. If you can find a GT 730 even better. The CPU meets the minimum.

1030's are designed for BIOS application, no UEFI required.

No one can guarantee compatibility.

DO NOT BUY THAT. Its a fake card, those come up on ebay all the time. Don't buy it.

Make sure the card you buy is a name brand. Gigabyte, EVGA, MSI, Asus etc.

I've seen repeatedly here and out in the world HP and Dell systems older than about 2013 have issues with anything over a GTX 7xx series. It surely works with aftermarket boards, but HP and Dell's specifically have problems. Has nothing to do with UEFI.

I haven't had an issue personally with those older office systems, but I will take your experiences under advisement and keep an eye out.
