Ok, as some have seen in the CPU Forum, I"m getting a basic system upgrade, seeing as how I'm gonna need to replace my motherboard I wanted some opinions on which was the best choice. I wanted to go with either Asus, or A-bit. I'm gonna be working with a P3 700-900 range processor, a GeForce 2 Graphics card, 256 megs of ram, an Ultra ATA 100 Hard drive and a HP burner.... So.... Anyone willing to recommend a Motherboard?

God.. Another one... this guy must be getting a kickback from that link he keeps posting!

Which HP burner are you using? Have you bought it yet or are you just leaning that way? Do you know which GeForce 2 card you want yet? Like a gaming card (such as the Hurcules Ultra?) or something a tad more Vanilla like an MX card? I'm just curious as these issues will make a difference (in driver stability) depending on which board/chipset you go with (IE the 815E versus the 815EP, etc...)

Have an HP 9110I I'm gonna get an Asus V7700 but of course am gonna use the referance drivers. If it wasn't a gift then I'd go get myself an AMD but since I'm not payin for it........ Ya know? ^_^

go wit th asus CUSL2 not the other versions the agp pro has extra power connectors for stability and you can allways turn off the onboard video.also a much more stable bios. as for processors get the P3 700E and set fsb to 133 to get 933 and everything will be running in spec.
