Hey guys, I'm new to this site and already find it quite welcoming. The main reason I joined this site s because I'm fed up of my PC with it's 2.4GHz dual core processor and it's radeon x1600 series graphics card. I need help deciding what to do regarding buying a new PC without spending too much cash on it. I'm looking for a PC that can run games such as Garry's mod, magicka, borderlands and possibly if you can planetside 2 which again, doesn't cost too much. The maximum price I'm willing to go to is probably £600. I'd be very grateful if you answered this question as I'm totally confused :pt1cable: thanks in advance, ThunderChicken. :hello:

I think an AMD A10 5800k would suffice, if not hybrid crossfire with a 6670, $130cpu, $60-80 motherboard, $60 in 8gb ram as the apu likes higher speed ram, case ur choice, corsair cx430 $40, hdd if not reusing, $60-100, dvd r/w if uneed $20. 6670, $60-80 if needed puts at maybe $600 USD or 450 euros.

If u want to reach ur 600 euros/800usd could go with a higher end dedicated gpu and better cpu as a i3/fx 6300 or i5 if possible

Also wat resolution would u be using?

Ummm I'm not sure what resolution I'd be using, maybe 1280x800? Otherwise, thanks for the help man, I'll search all of these components up and see if they're worth buying.

For some comparisons the a10 igpu 7660d compares to a 9800gt 1gb, and the hyrbrid 7660d+6670hd is about a hd 6770. The igpu prefers faster ram as thats what it uses so would get 1866 minimum, and the igpu can be set to use 1gb 2gb of the ram and i think defaults to 512mb i dont remember
