Best OS for gaming?

So I have a new build, 980ti yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line, Win7 or 8.1 for best FPS and performance during gameplay. Thanks

Really, people who like Windows 7 will say Windows 7 and the people who like 8.1 will say 8.1. If more than 10 people reply you will still have no clear answer.

I would say 8.1 because It's the newest and is confirmed to be working 3% better in some games compared to Windows 7.

It's a situation of which OS you like using most.

windows 8.1 has been proven to be better in gaming, but only slightly. Either OS is fine, especially if your going to be upgrading to windows 10 when it comes out.

8.1 gets a slight edge over 7.

Windows 8.1 is a crime against humanity.
I am using W10 Tech preview and it is AMAZING, it is truly a great OS and i have not had any issues while gaming.

So i'd go with latest and greatest, MS said it will go on sale in July.

Why buy something that is outdated and will soon be no longer supported.

Yes Windows 10 is THAT good.
