Hello,
September 2011 - I currently have a HP AMD 2.4 Dual 64 with 4M.
I want to start doing 3D rendering, and have purchased the Rhino 3D package software and a Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Display. Just with basic 3D sample drawings on the Rhino, my computer takes too long to compute, render.
What is the best system to get to support my new interest, and needs?
Go for Sandy Bridge current, or wait for E or Ivy Bridge with 2011 sockets? Seems like AMD is not best for my 3D interests.
What is

AMD's Hexcores are , in some instances ,actually better than similarly prices SB processors , because most rendering programs can use the extra cores .
But buying AMD hexcores now is a bad call . They are being replaced with completely new processors in just a few weeks , so smart people only build AMD with an eye to upgrading

a SB build with a
2600 or 2600K
a Z68 motherboard
16 gig of RAM
and a mid range nVidia graphics card is probably the better choice
