im looking for a new pair of speakers but i dont want to spend tons of money, any suggestions?

either 4.1 or 5.1, and how important do you feel the centre channel is for games and music, (i dont often watch dvd's on my comp so thats not a big deal)

what ive considered so far

creative t5400 5.1, nice price but the tweaters worry me, they might sound like crap in a budget setup

logitech z 640 5.1

logitech z 560 4.1

Here are a few manufacturers you should look at before making a decision.

I personally just did some research recently and found that it was better to take what money I had in my budget to buy a good 2.1 system that I could add on to later without sacrificing sound quality. Find a retailer that has demo setups and you should be able to find a system that will make you very happy.

Yamaha

Hope this helps.

Did you buy any speakers yet? I just got a real nice set for 100 bucks, Altec Lansing 251's. 5.1 surround pretty cheap, they look good too. 100 dollar 5.1 speakers tend to look like cheap plastic. Tom's has a few reviews on speakers in the audio/video section if you still didn't make up your mind.
