Hello smart PC-users!
First of all, I wanna say that this site really seems like a great forum, with lots of nice helpful people, since I´m personally a complete hardware/tech newbie.. That just loves to game and always have been.
However, even though Ive tried to read up on most articles regarding this topic, I´m still very confused on what´s best to get for my hard earned money (jobles atm, bills to pay), regarding my different present needs and future wishes.
FYI
I´m an oldschool CS 1.5 player, that really prefer gameplay oriented and competitive eSport titles over high end nice looking games, since I´m thinking of trying to turn pro after a dedicated year of gaming with a good enough computer that later on maybe can help me stream to gain viewers etc.
I´ve always played on lowest settings with a maximum resolution of 1024x768, but might consider higher for better widescreen ratio.
Anyway, I don´t wanna exclude the posibility when it comes to playing newer FPS games like Battlefield 4 and COD:Ghosts on higher reso and settings, i simply just value performance with higher and more steady frames per second overall way more than the pretty looks itself, and will need at least a steady 200 + in CSGO and 100 + in Dota 2 for my personal best satisfaction.
Dota 2/CSGO + Skype conversation + Webcam + Streaming of the game + Spotify/Music + facebook will need to work perfectly all together preferably. However, I probably wont be streaming anything the first 12 months or so. And i probably wont be streaming other games newer than csgo and dota 2 which is my main focus.
Budget:
Right now I´m willing to spend somwehere between 1300-1600 dollars on whatever gives most bang for the buck. I dont wanna cheap all out just to save a few bucks and then cry in the end, but i dont wanna overpay either for something that doesnt give the same back in return in the end anyway.
I have very little knowledge on whats overkill or to little, so this is what ive tried to build so far on a danish retailer site:
CPU: i74770k 3.8-4.0 Overclocked (by them, i have no clue on how to)
GPU: Asus GTX 760 Direct CUII 2GB OC (+G 500 w)
Corsair Vengeance 4x4 GB DDR3, 2133 mhz
Drive:SSD 840 Samsung Evo 250 GB (want it for its speed)
MOBO:MSI Z87-G43 Gaming
Soundcard: 7.1 Realtek@ALC1150 Definition Audio SBX Sound Blaster Pro Studio Surround
Case: Zalman Z11
Final Price: 1689 $
Possible Adjustments:
if i downgrade to the same overclocked i54670k i can cut off 155 $
if i downgrade to 8 gb of the same memory i can cut off 117 $
if i downgrade to gtx 660 TwinFrozr i save 98 $
if i upgrade to gtx 770 it will cost me approximately 100 $ on top
Ive been staying awake for several nights and days now, trying to become a bit smarter on something that seems too technical for me, and really wants a new PC soon, but then again, im almost considering to learn how to build one myself, but only if it could save me at least 20 % cost overall.. if not thats not really ideal for me, since i have no idea about where to start..
Sorry for the long text, I dont expect the same back as an answer, but if i just get a little bit closer to a new PC i will be forever grateful!
Best Regards,
Jean
