He replies back that a FEW games support SLI, and in the future the Vive/CV1 MAY support SLI, plus IF game devs support the DX12 feature of dual GPU use, you may see a benefit there.

Somehow, that's worth 30%, or ~ $700 of the cost of these rigs. Insert "no cat" gif here.

My advice would be to do research first, and make sure the game you want to improve with SLI actually supports it, as most do not, and will not, and VR does not currently.
