I am looking for a case for my new build. I don't care about RGB, just a good case that won't trap dust and what not. I was thinking about fractal design r5. This is my first time building a pc so I am not too sure what to go with. What do you guys think? This is build so far.
I would also recommend Fractal's define, I was trying to keep my recommendations sub $50 but they are well made cases as well, and some are priced well that I forgot to include.
which of the define would u recommend? I was actually looking into define s and R5 but they seemed pricier and I just didn't know if it was worth the price. If it's worth it i definitely will buy it. I am going "all in" with my 1080Ti build, just trying to cut cost where I can lol
I like some of the Segotep cases. I'm using the Polar light MATX case. Came with 5 3 pin LED blue fans
Has a window. The top can come off, and has holes along the length of it. I put 2 splitters through them for 2 of the fans. It makes it tidier, so you cant see the splitters.
And the PSU is on the bottom (but hidden underneath the mobo). You cant see it
But it doesnt have front bays. But I dont need a dvd anyway
Segotep are absolute crap, no name cases i''ve seen around, all plastic and poorly constructed.
I'm a second advocate for Fractal's Define series, quiet cases, very good build quality and some nice dust filters.
Looks very clean.

I've had several come through the shop as part of prebuilt units, and their cases are a pain to work with, either all steel construction with a basic frame or plastic and flimsy.

I built my wife a PC last year with the Define Mini, which is just a small version of the S. Totally worth the money, its the finest case craftsmanship that I've seen. Even better quality than my In Win that was almost double the price. Insulation everywhere, dust filters, options for cooling, and DEAD quiet.

The Define S is the best deal for you.

ok, I'm going with that. Should I buy more fans? or are the fans in there good enough. I'm studying negative vs positive air pressure build so I haven't decided on that yet but I plan to overclock cpu and gpu(?) depending on how hard it is to do and I know they both need to be cooled down even with a CPU cooler. Nah, the included ones are fine, dw about negative/positive airflow, the main thing you need to worry about is whether air is going in and if air is going out.
