A friend of mine is on a very tight budget and i was wondering what is the best PC you can build for £450 (£ not $). He will be gaming on it and not much else.
most new games now-adays need a true quad-core at launch, so until the devs of whatever game that came out get a patch to support i3's, FX 6-cores will work out of the box.

Both far cry 4 and dragon age inquisition work fine on an i3 with no patch needed. I'm not aware of any other games that won't run on dual cores.

I dont know much about dragon age inquisition, but far cry 4 was one of those games that needed a patch to work with an i3.

Please tell me where you've read this because every source I've seen has confirmed that it works fine on an i3 with no patch needed.
