Hey guys, any suggestions on a really good game capture program that uses very little resources? I've experimented with Bandicam, Action!, FRAPS, and a bunch of others, but most often (even though hardware acceleration and stuff have been disabled and write caching is enabled), I am getting some wanky FPS rate drops.

If you are looking for software that'll get the job done and have decent quality videos after being encoded then you should check out Camtasia Studio. It's not free but then again it has fantastic minimal resource usage with good quality video renders.

If you have a pc capable of hdmi output and a tv/monitor that uses hdmi you can check out getting a capture card like the Elgato Game Capture HD for recording your pc games as well as all major game consoles.

Elgato Game Capture HD
Bying it from B&H will get you no tax and free fast shipping. (that's if you're interested of course)
