Its hard to beat N1ghtr4av3n build choice at 1080p.Check your area for a microcenter, they have amazing deals on intel i series CPU/Z87mobo combos. You match the 4670k with ANY of the z87 boards and get the discount.
I seriously doubt you would want a GTX 780 on 1080p. Those gpus are usually meant for 1440p and higher. A single GTX 770 can max out any games on 1080p already.
A few changes to babernet's build:
-Made it so you can't overclock, but you said you won't be doing it anyways.
-Cheaper, better RAM.
-Bigger psu, semi-modular, cheaper, made by seasonic.
-Better case.
-Downgraded to a GTX 770.
-Added an SSD.
All XFX psus are Seasonic made. That's why its high quality and it's usually much cheaper than Seasonic.
I was going to back up the XFX being made with Seasonic. I was on my phone and someone was driving. I like to keep an eye out in case their not. Its helped plenty of times.
Thanks for the vote. I do a lot of stuff like this and the majority don't bother to vote for the most helpful.
Normally you don't need an air cooler unless you are overclocking. However the Haswell's tend to run a bit hot and lout so an aftermarket cooler would be nice anyways.
If you are really squeezing your money, this is the best bargain there is:
You only need a cpu cooler if you want to overclock. The Hyper 212 EVO is a great option to bring the 4670k to a good 4.0 - 4.2ghz.
If you want to reach 4.5-4.8, you would want the Noctua NH-D14 or this Phanteks one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835709011
Saves you $30. You can use that to buy a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and overclock the 3570k, or upgrade the case to a Fractal Design Define R4 or NZXT Phantom 410.
