Hi, I'm looking to construct a new, decent gaming PC.

It's something in the ~1200$ range. Granted, I don't live in the US or Canada. I'm from Northern Europe, so I can't guarantee that all "ingredients" will be available for me.

btw, I don't need a monitor, mouse, keyboard, OS. Just the case.

The second build is quite good. If you need OS, dont buy SSD and buy OS, coz SSD wont give you more FPS in gaming - it will load OS just more quicker. And if you are not overclocking then you can find cheaper CPU+MB combo which would be similar performance.

And if you have time you could wait for R9 290 to come out. The first reviews say that the card is at par with gtx 780 and even R9 290X and cost at gtx 770 level. It has some noise issues, but i think it will be solved with some better cooling systems from vendors.
