BEST PERFORMANCE for the €/$ ... (GPU)

Solution

again you are incorrect

both the 580 and 480 are superior to the 3gb version of the 1060

the 580 trades blows with the 1060 6gb, on average though the 1060 is about 5% faster

1060 6gb > 580 > 480 > 1060 3gb

FPS/dollar is the RX 460, however it is a pretty crappy card in terms of overall performance, the 1060 3GB is the next best valued card giving the most bang for your buck as it were, while allowing higher quality and framrates, paired with a solid CPU you should be able to play most games on Ultra at 1080p 60Hz. With the 460... not so much.

then it totally depends on your budget
from cheapest to most expensive:

rx 460

gtx 1050 ti

rx 470

rx 580

gtx 1070

gtx 1080 TI

I would use this thread as a baseline and then work from there based on what price you can get the gpu for:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gpus,4380.html

If you can find a GTX 1060 for less than an RX 580 it would be better value due to similar benchmark results (for the 6GB version) I notice that lots of times I can find different brands cheaper than Toms Hardware listed price on the Best Graphics Cards for the Money article.

not at higher resolutions its not, a 3gb 1060 is a waste of money

50/50 with a 6gb version

the 3gb version of the 1060 is very much slower, as it has not only less vram but also is internally neutered

not to mention the problems you encounter when the vram is filled, 3gb is already not enough in some titles

Stay away from amd cards if you want to get pentium g4560. I had two rx 580's both had problems with this cpu on every game (didn't happened on rx 470). Personally I suggest to search for gtx 950 from gigabyte (windforce 2 oc) , I had it and overclocked it to 1.5 ghz. It was so good that even my gtx 1070 is not a very big difference in 1080p. The witcher 3 could be ran at high settings with no problem in 55 fps. Unfortunately i sold it for 100 usd... MY BAD...

Where are these stats from? Even the benchmarks you provided with your post shows the RX 580 as the strongest of the trio.

RX 580 > GTX 1060 6GB > RX 480 on average across many games and resolutions. In reality you're not going to really notice the ~2-3% gap between the cards (probably more like 5% between the 1060 and 480) anyway, pricing is key.

As for best Performance per dollar it really depends on your situation and location. I'd say the RX 570 is usually around the sweet spot but some countries they are limited in stock and even overpriced (India for example) in which case you can find them as costly as a 1060 6GB which is rather ridiculous pricing. But i agree with Max, for a Pentium G4560 don't go higher than around a RX 470/570/GTX 1050 Ti, possibly even a GTX 1060 3GB but i find it hard to recommend that card at times as even the 1050 Ti has out-benched it in a few games before, specifically when the VRAM caps out, still depends on pricing either way.

Here is a benchmark for RX 580 - RX 480 - GTX 1060 (and RX 570 in there). One particular beneift for the RX 570 is it's not a bad overclocker, Digital Foundry were able to get their card to a point where it could match a reference RX 480 with only a modest Overclock.

If you want more benchmarks just say the word i have plenty from loads of sources.

You can clearly see the 3GB outperforms the 480 in warhammer in DX11, in addition to every game that prefers Nvidia cards, and there are a lot (GTA V, Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed, Blizzard games, etc.). The 580 is slightly better than the 480. Again in any game that prefers Nvidia, even the 3GB 1060 is going to win.

It's also cheaper.

Not every game supports DX12 so arguing that it's better in Dx12, which is 100% true, is pointless. However there are MANY games in which the 1060 3GB can and WILL outperform a 480. The 580 may edge ahead slightly but not enough to definitively say its better. If anything they are evenly matched, which they are because the AMD WILL NOT win in EVERY case, so saying it's better is blatantly denying the cases in which it is WORSE.

With the 3Gb being cheaper it is clearly the better option.
