Hi, i am from Argentina so sorry for my english. I have a Corsair 400c stock, so it have 2 fans, one front 140mm that enter air and one rear 120mm that rear the air out of the case. I buy another fan, a AF140 Led quiet, but where i have to put it? In front too or in the top to exhaust the air? My rig is i5 6500, gtx 1080, SSD/HHD, Seasonic 520. Thanks

Solution

i think better 140mm at back if it fits, because gravity law also apply for air, putting the 140mm will probably be less useful because the air that could reach the top fan is less than air that can go to the back of the case, also because 140mm is bigger, it should suck some air better. yeah correct, the bow will head the upper(top) part not the motherboard

better 2 pulling air out, 1 pushing air in, for optimum push pull config, but the airflow also depends on the case itself, getting some more additional fans is also a good idea. try 1 intake at front, 1 at back and 1 top for exhaust

Is there really difference to have to change the rear 120 for 140 and put the 120 in top? Or if i put the 140 in top is the same? So the back side that have the bow, for example if i put it in the top, that back side have to be upper to the case. I mean, the back side with the bow will see to upper, not to the motherboard, right?

Perfect, so if i put in the front, then the bow have to direction to the motherboard to let air in... And if i put upper or in back, then the bow have to direction NOT to the motherboard, because i want to exhaust the air, no to let in the case. This is fine?
