Question best place to find linux commands and functions?

I am trying to install quake 2, and if needed have the game detect the ethernet adapter and get the online multiplayer to function. Without a list of commands, making the adjustments needed for functionality would be a conundrum. Not to mention to run Yamagi Quake 2, which is a impressive version of the game, is gonna need some tuning to function on a Pi 3 and Pi 4

I am away from my Pi's at the moment, but Google'ing/Bing'ing/Duck'ing makes me believe you need to have real Quake 2 CD around, and copy it over to your Pi. Check for example here.

Whichever guide you follow - post the guide, and steps passed

Ubuntu, Debian and Raspbian based forums are gonna be your saviors. I personally use Twister OS and as it's a port of Raspbian which was in turn built off of Debian it wont be hard to find help forums. Just keep in mind that the ARM architecture can limit some aspects of what you can do.
