Hello,
I am looking for a new power supply as my current one doesn't seem to handle the load. My system consistently locks up while playing certain demanding games, even on lower settings with nice components.

System:
i7 - 920 (stock clock)
OCZ DDR3 1333mhz 12GB
WD Black Caviar 620GB x2
WD (unknown) 500 GB x1
DVD - x1
DVD RW - x1
nVidia BFG Tech 285 OC 1GB GDDR5
Case is Antec 1200 (using 200 MM top, and 2 front 120mm, 1 side 120mm, 2 back 120mm fans)

Looking to power this without any lockups during gameplay, with my settings cap out. I play Rift at Medium details with this setup and it locks up frequently (ctrl alt del, then cancel fixes the issue) and the card isn't overheating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a PSU under 115$ preferable.

Thanks,
Daniel

For a single GeForce GTX 285 graphics card system a power supply with 550 Watts or greater, with a minimum +12 Volt current rating of 40 Amps and at least two 6-pin PCI Express Supplementary Power Connectors is recommended.

The +12 Volt current rating is more important than the wattage.

Some suggestions that meet or exceed the minimum requirements :

Seasonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W $84.99

Athena Power 750W

I think it's just a garbage power supply.

After seeing the reply's and looking over my old specs (i built this about 2 years ago) I didn't even think to check the rails amps it has 12Amps for the 12 rail.

So just got to make sure I get something with more amps it would seem... Thanks for listing some good power supplies as well!
